It wasn't hard-- the weight of Catcher in the Rye in her inside jacket pocket would bump against her ribcage, reminding her of the treasure she'd come across. "He's not going to burn any of the books, right, Drake?" She looked at Connor appraisingly-- he was a good enough guy in her book if he'd thought to squirrel away so many things to save for when the angels and demons left-- if they ever did, that is. "Is this why you wanted them gone so fast? You didn't want anyone to find this place?"

"I think it's a great idea," Rachel said, "I won't tell anyone. I promise." She glanced sidelong at Drake-- he had a whole train of people to think about, people who looked up to him and counted on him to take care of them, so she wouldn't be entirely surprised if he were unable to promise. Sorely disapointed, but not surprised.

"I can promise to you that I won't let my men in here. In fact, I hope that those guns help you defend here." Drake wasn't surprised if this came as a shock to the other two, but the NER could find anything they needed without having to resort to stealing or taking someone's treasure trove.

And he felt some compassion to the other human, collecting such an impressive cache of such things, oddly. "Although if there's something along the lines of some heavy clothing, it would be appreciated. What with winter coming in, it's getting pretty cold."
