Tendrils of mist seemed to creep across the landscape, obscuring the glass buildings from veiw. The breeze had died down, and everything came to a standstill. A black wall seemed to be creeping it's way forward from within the mist. From tha back, one could make out the sky-blue sun of the Diluculo. As soon as the Diluculo arrived, they dissapeared, waiting for the NER.

The first mention of an advancing group was the heavy footfalls, then a scampering noise as a hunched over demon ran by, only a fledgling, it's breathing harsh and ragged. A single shot echoed out, and the fledgling fell, and a longcoated figure strode after it, and stood above it's head.

"Another one, so young......." The figure raised the smoking handgun in it's left hand, and expelled another few bullets into the young demon's upper body and head. Finally, a heavy boot fell onto the thing's head, and a slight smirk tweaked the corner's of Drake's face. The other members of his patrol, about ten men, appeared from his entry direction and nodded in appreciaion at the kill. "Let's move on men, where's there's young, there's adults....."

Iori watched the scene with mild intrest. The leader of the NER had killed another young one. Not that he really cared for it. It was one of the demons that would just end up annoying the hell of the Diluculo later, so for the kill, he was thankful.

As for the NER in HIS hunting space, well, that was another story all together. Iori looked to the few members that he had with him that day. Before, what looked like to be a large crowd of Diluculo before, was in actuality, only 15 or so men. They had all dispersed into random hiding places, and already a sniper was setting up for the kill.

As the leader of the patrol, and the NER itself, Drake took the mid position of the group, and he and his five men carried on through the landscape, and a slight shiver of uneasiness snaked up Drake's spine. He looked around carefully, then motioned for his men to enter a large building to the left.

"Take cover, I don't think we are alone. You know the drill." There was a loud pounding as three of the men ran up the building, taking positions overlooking the small square that Drake still stood in the center of, while the other two stayed at the windows of the bottom floor, rifles aimed to cover all entrances.

"Here...goes......" Drake slowly raised a stub-nosed flaregun from his waist, and fired a single red flare into the air, then let loose a single shot with a pistol in the other.

Iori swore. The NER and Diluculo were too alike. Though the Diluculo's cover was blown, when the leader of the group sent out a flare, illuminating the whole street. Some members immediatly stood out from thier hiding spots.

Iori watched them, as they realised that they were caught, and most likley would be killed. "Get them out of there." he whispered to one of his more trusted members. "Now!" Iori hissed, still watching the leader.

The sniper was ready for the hit, only waiting for the call to shoot. Everything was at a standstill...

Noticing the strangely out of place figures surrounding them, the NER instantly opened fire, the sharp, resounding noise of the ricochets filling the ear along with the cries of the fallen Diluculo.

"Take cover, everyone!" Drake dived to the left behind some rubble, swearing violently as he crashed straight into another of the trenchcoat wearing beings. He brought the machete by his side up in a fell swipe, ripping the demon practically in two and spraying blood over him.

Iori flinched as he saw some of his men being killed. The sniper had lost his spot on Drake, and was now aiming for any NER members. But there were none. They all were in the building.

And suddenly, a lone angel ran swiftly across no man's land, and into the building. A few moments later there was a large blast, shattering all the windows in the vicinity, and illuminating the night sky. Iori watched as the angel and only two NER out of the five NER members ran out. "You take my men..." Iori whispered. "I take yours."
